Open Adoption

Just before HG's second birthday, we had the opportunity to visit with four of his biological relatives who live here in town. Since our adoption is "open", everyone knows who everyone else is, and we all take it from there. It was really nice to see HG's bio-mom, both bio-grandmas, and his bio-great-grandma. They all got to read him books, and he gave them all hugs. Lately he's been giving "cheeks," especially to his papa before bedtime. He'll also give a "cheek" to a dog, doll, or friend. Very endearing.
