April - the beginning of the dry season (we have two seasons here on California's coast) and baseball.
Water is enticing! HG knows all the good places: the bird bath with the lava, sinks, hoses, buckets, muddy puddles, bath tub, swimming pool.
When I asked if he had any dreams, he reported "good stories" about being at the ocean.
Balls and sticks are fun! HG was so excited about basketball for so long, then he moved onto golf, took a brief foray into football, and now it's all about baseball. He seems to like the way the glove feels with all of his fingers spread out into the appropriate holes.
The yard is finally dry enough for some whiffle T-ball. Once in a while, HG really does hit the ball with the bat. And he's getting the hang of catching larger balls and balloons. He always comments when we drive by the baseball fields at the community center on our way to HealthSport, "Baseball field?" Check out HG's base running skills on the little video below:
