In Whoville, we celebrated Equinox with a visit from the equinox bunny and some butter cake (it's even better than it sounds). HG collected all the colorful eggs from around the living room before the sun came up.
I'm so lucky to be able to play with HG every day. On Thursday, we went to belly dancing class with Shoshanna. She's got an awesome scarf collection - see first photo. On Equinox, we went to the beach with a group of friends and had such a great time. Seals, anemones, a trickly creek, shovels... And today the rain came in like a lion.

HG is into the concept of friendship. He'll ask about people, "Neil Franklin, friend? Mama, friend?" or any objects appearing together, "Knees, friends? Fork and spoon, friends? Pee pee and poo poo, friends?" That last one was from a successful potty experience. Although her visit was short (in between airline runs for work), NJ from Australia got to meet her birthday mate for the first time. HG loved hearing bedtime stories with her Aussie accent, and he's been playing "footie" all week since she left.

True to toddlerness, HG's really good at making noise, such as banging on metal bowls with kitchen utensils. And yelling, too. If he's not totally into our next move, such as going to get a diaper changed or putting a toy down, he'll yell, "Stop it!" But he usually comes around quite quickly, especially if there's a book involved in the moment. Last week at the library, when I asked HG what subject he wanted a book about, he chose dinosaurs.
