Terrifically 2 and 1/2

Mother's Day was perfect. We went tide pooling on the beach and got to check out sea stars, anemones, mussels, limpets, kelp, and all the interesting flora and fauna that presents itself during a negative low tide. Later I got to finish a sewing project while HG played baseball in the backyard.

HG says that bottle caps are money. He's interested in letters and knows most of them. Today he picked one up and said, "L for Lily." The other day he wrote his "name" on the chalkboard.

When I ask HG how old he is now, he says "Four an' half." Perhaps he was impressed by his Cousin L's 4th birthday celebration, which we attended in East Bay. Here he is playing dress up with Cousin M. Favorite cousin activities: pile- ons, bubble baths, sand box, tricycle/scooter riding, more pile-ons.

Congratulations to HG's Auntie N - she's graduating! We spent a lovely day "shopping" on Santana Row in San Jose. HG liked the sticky rice and the interesting pooches.
