While the apple trees blossom, we experience some crazy spring weather. Cold rain makes for good indoor reading. We love libraries. Snow (a few weeks ago) in the mountains makes for a super-fun day trip. It was our first sledding event!
We just took a weekend trip a couple counties down to visit Train Town, a kids amusement park with a 1/4-size train and other rides. Humboldt's preferred seat on the carousel is on the bench. This carousel had great music, all train-themed songs. Bo loves trains!

The weekend was full of firsts... Our first camping trip was a success. Humboldt took his first (and second, third, and fourth) ride on a diesel-powered steam train. He also tried the ferris wheel and kiddy roller coaster; once was enough. At our first camp fire, Bo loved his first toasted marshmellow.

We had a lot of fun camping with friends at a state park. We heard kingfishers and saw turkeys. Bo especially loved the easy-turn water spigot in the meadow by our campsite. One afternoon, we walked to the observatory and got to see the sun through two different instruments. It's really cute to hear Bo say "observatory," too.
