It's a very exciting time of year.

Santa Claus came to visit the plaza on a fire truck. One of his elves gave Bo a little velveteen rabbit (he's heard the story on the iPad). The jolly old soul asked Bo his name and age, then looked to me for confirmation that he was indeed only four years old (he's the size of a first grader). When Santa asked him what it was he wanted for Christmas, Humboldt said "a magic disappearing napkin and a magic disappearing starfish that's pretty."
On Sunday afternoon Humboldt saw his second annual Nutcracker performance. It was very magical when it snowed on stage and wonderful to see all the dancers put on such a lovely show. Bo loved the fighting mice, and he's been practicing his Nutcracker jumps all week. The photo is from after the show in the lobby; they have an amazing tree. Our friends Miss A and Miss B (the big sisters of Miss C) gave beautiful performances - Miss B was perfect as Clara this year. Must be pretty neat to dance with the Nutcracker and ride in the sleigh to Candy Land!
Just couple more photos...Here's Humboldt sleeping with his monkey, Curious George, and the Velveteen Rabbit. And then one of our favorite white pony, Tag. He's got his shaggy winter coat and is so sweet! Miss C got a little ride on Belle that day at the McKinleyille Rodeo Grounds.
