We spent the long weekend in the mountains on the Trinity River. Humboldt loved all of the winter activities: making snow angels, watching his parents build snowmen, snowshoeing, and carrying firewood. We tried sledding, too, but the snow at the top of Scott Pass, about 5,000 feet elevation, was too dry and fluffy. Down by the cabins, there was some wetter snow perfect for snow ball fights. Both dogs enjoyed romping in the snow, and they kept Humboldt company in the back seat. Humboldt's favorite part of the trip? Snowshoeing.
