'Tis The Season Fall 2012

Apple season! Humboldt made good use of his pocket pants this fall; he loaded them up with fuji apples from the orchard. The big event this fall was the start of kindergarten. Here are some of his new classmates and old friends at his sixth birthday party. This photo was taken after an hour of tumbling about at the city's little gym. Below that is a photo of my parents with Humboldt at Wedding Rock at Patrick's Point State Park. The surf that day was incredibly powerful and awesome. Even though it rained over six inches during their visit, we had nice weather for several fine walks.

Santa arrives at the Arcata Plaza by firetruck every December for a quick visit. Here he is with Mrs. Claus asking Humboldt what he wants for Christmas and, of course, reminding him to be good.
'Tis the season for shows. Here's Humboldt with Scarlet in the lobby just before the Nutcracker ballet. We also enjoyed seeing Annie at the Ferndale Theater. We're still singing, "Tomorrow..."
In Whoville, the season's all about puppies. Here's a little pup only five days old, before their eyes and ears opened. Lots of friends have been coming by to pet the pups, and we've found good homes for all of them. One five-year-old friend came up with the idea of dressing up the pups, and she brought over a bag of doll clothes. It was really cute.

And here's the MVP, Most Valuable Puppy, named Buster B-Dog after Buster Posey, the Giants player named MVP of the National League. He'll be staying here with us!

Last but not least - a little video. We've only done this once, but I hope to do it a lot more! Sledding in the sand dunes. Our friends, John, Sherry, and Nyrie enjoyed some speed and adventure with us.
