Inspiration and Respiration

Creative inspiration is so fun. I've been bonding with my sewing machine making yoga mat bags for HG and myself, curtains for the chickens' nest boxes (two of them have started laying again), and currently eye pillows for my yoga students. HG has added to his vocabulary: why, um, and hippopotamus and has created new games: wearing booties as mittens, playing with a flashlight in the dark (and getting stuck where he could previously fit easily), and sweeping the front yard hedge.

In the respiration category, HG is dealing with another asthma event (it's been eight months since the last one). When one suffers an asthma attack, the bronchi swell up and constrict simultaneously, leaving dangerously small airways for oxygen to get into the bloodstream. We saw our favorite MD, Dr. Ted, and we're treating HG with two meds via the nebulizer - one to reduce airway inflamation and one to increase airway dilation.

Meanwhile, our daffodils are blooming, and the poppies are doing their best to take over the flower bed in the backyard garden. Spring is on its way. P.S. You can click on photos to see them larger, then click on the back arrow to return to the blog.
