When you're two, so many things are new and exciting. This week, HG got to video chat with his great aunt J and great uncle E in Florida. He's tall enough to reach the nest boxes, and is learning to be gentle with still-warm eggs. It's fun watching him learn to put on his clothes and shoes - he's pretty good with a cape, some shoes, and all sorts of hats. Pants and underpants are still pretty tricky (he's using his potty more often). His last baby teeth, four molars, are poking through his gums. And he's learned to apologize, usually with an "I sorry" and a hug.

HG enjoys exploring, but he usually gets to know something before touching it. The salamanders live under some wood in our front yard, and HG likes to look at them. The Natural History Museum is our new favorite place; there are many things to touch there, such as fossils, feathers, and friend P's hand. If it's nice, we take the bike and trailer and stop at the park. If it's raining, we cross the street to Wildberries and eat smoothies while playing on their porch.
