Thanksgiving

I'm thankful to my husband for 16 years of marriage; we celebrated our anniversary on Friday. We ate a few leftovers and finished off the pumpkin pie. Fortunately, we were able to celebrate with relatives, one of whom even brought us some organic chocolate truffles. And thank you, yes, you, for being a part of our lives.
I give thanks for the English language, authors, illustrators, publishers, and, of course, those hard-working pre-press companies. Books are so enjoyable. Here's Humboldt reading in front of the fire and looking at a Ba and Boo book with Aunt S. He really, really likes books.
Humboldt's cousins, aunt, and uncle came for Thanksgiving. We went to "Spinny Park" where Cousin J climbed to the top of the rope octrahedron, Cousin L scootered around the path, and Cousin M played with the fire truck. We had our first cousin sleep-overs and lots of fun family time. And I think our refrigerator was the fullest it's ever been.
Although it was a bit windy, we had to go to the beach. Here's my thirty-something (not for long!) sister and me walking back along the Friends of the Dunes trail on the Samoa Peninsula.
