We started off the month with a trip to St. Louis. That's Humboldt trying to open up the throttle on a Big Boy steam locomotive above. Lots of firsts: Bo touched a sting ray, he got stung by a bumble bee, we got a flat tire, Bo jumped off the diving board, he met his great aunt Marilyn who came up from Texas. We rode three different trains: one at the zoo, one at the Transportation Museum, and the Wabash Frisco and Pacific. Grandpa set up his model train in the basement, and Grandma babysat a lot while I got to go running in Queeny Park and see the Cardinals beat the Reds at Busch Stadium. Humboldt discovered he loves rope bridges at the Missouri Botanical Garden play ground.

Upon our return, we picked up a sweet bike that Humboldt won in the Co-op raffle and started group swimming lessons at the new pool at H.S.U. Other things he loves: helping papa carry firewood and mow the lawn, hugging people, and his cousins!
